This is a video of an elephant painting.  At least, ostensibly that’s what it is.  It could just be an elephant pushing a brush around a piece of paper in a manner it learned by rote.

Unfortunately, elephants (what little i know about them) are definitely intelligent and capable of a wide range of cognitive function (self identity in front of mirrors, communication between individuals etc).  I’d go so far as to say, that i would be open to the possibility of abstract thought.  And therein lies the problem.  This could be a work of abstract expression.  Or it could be the trained behavior of an animal that’s been conditioned.

Either way, this is an elephant with some really good trunk-eye coordination.  I dare you to try painting an image this good with your tongue (Yes, not a perfect analogy, i know).
