angryamoeba expressed his interested in porting a lib we have built into videojuicer to do localization (or localisation as he puts it :P ) to merb. Since i talked to the merb guys last week at RubyConf2008 i dropped mattetti a line to find out what they intend for merb localization and what they’ve already done.
It turns out that mattetti and wycats already have some hooks in the api to prepare for eventual inclusion of a localisation library (which is intended as merb_babel).
Upon a quick perusal of mattetti’s read me, it appears that the pattern that he and angryamoeba each followed appear to be very similar (will have to read the code more closely to tell!), and so angryamoeba and i may see about contributing to merb_babel in the future.
